Floors, rugs, carpets, grass.
Support, protect walking feet,
as flat, shallow nests.
…
Small, low furniture
for kids to play and make art.
Three masterpieces.
…
Generous window,
gifts us birds and sun and moon.
Gate to air, shield too.
…
Stains, spots, stickers, drops
help birds see that’s glass, not air.
Closed windows’ safeguards.
…
The open window.
Cracked glass, screen falling apart.
Still welcomes warmly.
…
Cafe curtains, flags,
truth hidden between the lines.
Diaphanous veils.
…
Cobwebs, dust bunnies,
fallen leaves piling outside.
The broom is on strike.
…
Unwashed breakfast cup.
Unmade bed. Hungry dog, cat.
Left in a hurry.
