Human Nature

Perhaps we humans, in deed,
are neither gods nor demons indeed.

Perhaps we’re neither 
nadir nor acme, alpha, apex or keystone.

Maybe we’re simply
stardust, sandstone, 
bone, brain and brawn.

Maybe we’re also
pilgrim spirits, 
walking together home.
